It is most unlikely that you would get a chlamydial genital tract infection other than through sex. However it is possible that you might not have acquired the infection recently. Chlamydial infections can grumble on for a long time, only occasionally giving rise to any signs or symptoms of infection. In some people the signs of infection may come and go in relationship to the body's own protective response. However it can be got rid of with proper treatment.
